Did you know you always wanted to go into coffee?

I never thought I was going to be in coffee. I never ever ever ever thought I was going to be in coffee.

Did you drink coffee growing up?

I probably sipped some of my mom’s coffee as a kid. Growing up I thought Lion was the best thing ever because that was the coffee my mom always had. She always had a little bag in the freezer. When she moved to the mainland, and whenever she came home, she would always say: “I need to have my Lion’s coffee.” My taste changed, I guess.

What’s the best drink to order if I’m staying up late to finish a paper?

An iced coffee. If it gets warm, it’s still good. It’s a good price point. It’s fast. There’s not a lot of sugar in it. You can modify it.

What’s the best drink to order if I wake up the next day with a hangover?

I’d probably do espresso, and pair that with a side of Gatorade to get those electrolytes going. I think Gatorade when you’re hungover is awesome. Sometimes when you’re hungover, it’s harder to get fluids in your body, so the shot makes you take it all one time.

Yes. Grace in Growlers. They’re not open yet, but they’re our neighbor in Kailua. The last place I had a beer at was there because they’re doing their build out and they invited us over. But other than that, you’d find me with something from across the street, or Pint + Jigger.
